About the Event

April 16, ECRW Program

This month features two presentations…Ector County Library Foundation and Permian Basin Habitat for Humanity.

The Ector County Library Foundation (ECLF) was founded to research the need, plan, design, and raise philanthropic dollars to build a new library. Working in partnership with the Ector County Commissioners and Ector County Library, ECLF is dedicated to creating a new, state-of-the-art facility in downtown Odessa.

ECLF Board President, Tim Ogilvy, and Treasurer, Peggy Dean, will share the plans for the new Library and provide an update on the status of the Foundation’s efforts to raise $30 million to match the County’s investment.

Habitat for Humanity partners with hardworking families who qualify based on a need, a willingness to partner (which includes completing “sweat equity” hours), and the ability to repay an affordable mortgage. Homes are sold with a 0% interest mortgage, with house payments used to build more homes.
